Philosophy

Our philosophy is quite simple: To make wines that speak of the vineyard and the makers.

Anderson Fort was created by two great mates with a deeply held passion for the Heathcote Wine Region.

Liam Anderson (Winemaker) has been living in Heathcote for nearly all of his life, making wine in his family business Wild Duck Creek Estate, studying Viticulture at Dookie College, and then graduating Wine Science at Charles Sturt University.

Bryan Fort is a trained Sommelier, working in both the restaurant scene in Melbourne for many years, as well as stints in wine retail and distribution through the 2000’s.

Both Liam and Bryan met in the early 2000’s and struck up a great friendship. Their common passion for wine and in particular Heathcote wines lead to many musings of one day creating a wine which reflected a sense of place. In particular Shiraz based wines that showed the wonderful variation of the Heathcote Region, as well as its quality.

No matter what Anderson Fort wine you may happen to try, you will know that the every effort was taken to create something distinctively delicious, with a sense of the vineyard and the soil, as well as the hands that were used to make it.
